The real problem is that most of the laws passed by Republicrats Do not effect criminals. Violent Criminals are simply not effect by gun control laws, marijuana laws. Laws weakening the right of self defense actually help criminals, and these laws and the enforcement bureaucracy are supported by the City Council.

The proposal to prohibit sex offenders from living anywhere is not constitutional. If the clowns really wanted to do something they would keep these people in jail.

Much of the crime ordinates outside of Springfield. The surrounding towns do almost nothing to stop gangs and drugs from traveling through their jurisdictions to commit crimes in Springfield. They then blame the city for not being able to maintain a budget.
The state should provide law enforcement. This would make the surrounding towns pay to maintain law and order within their boundaries. It would also give the legislature an opportunity to contend with the revolving door court system, which is a state problem, not a city problem. They city has been paying for this problem for years.
