Libertarian Platform of Robert Underwood

Quite Simply, I would eliminate laws we do not need and keep only those that we need for our own safety. That means I would abolish victimless crimes laws.

I would also strengthen the right of self defense so that we would not be dependent on the good graces of some bureaucrat to defend our lives and property. In those states which have strengthened the right of people to defend themselves crime has dropped. Here I Massachusetts the Republicrats have weakened the right of self defense and stolen enormous amounts of money in the form of gun licensing fees, as well as fees levied on citizens who were defending themselves. Yet they have passed laws that specifically exempt the city police from protecting people.

We also need economic development. And I do not mean cheap jobs that keep people in section 8 housing owned by some politically connected landlord. I mean skilled jobs that pay well. Republicrats have voted for free trade agreements that ship jobs outside of the United States. I would not support any candidate for office, especially U.S. Senate, who supports the exportation of American Industry.

Do My Republicrat opponents support sending our jobs to China or other cheap labor countries? They probably would deny it. I challenge my Republicrat opponents to denounce Senators Kennedy and Kerry who have voted to ship their constituents jobs outside of the country.
